To buy new or used, that is the question
I've got my 1st "proper" job and need a "proper" car to get there and back, its only 13 miles from home so not a long commute. I currently have a 2001 Vauxhall Corsa but it's looking tired now and is nearly 10 years old.
My Corsa has been really good to me and the local Vauxhall franchise has treated me well, so I am going to go for another Corsa. The only problem I'm having at the moment is deciding whether to go for a new one or a used one.
I've seen a Vauxhall Corsa offer for a new 1.0 litre 3 door S for £7,495, the 5 door version comes in at £7,895, I prefer the 3 door and don't need the extra doors. The Corsa S comes as standard with electric windows and an MP3 player. It can do 61mpg and falls in group 1 insurance, its low emissions mean road tax is only £30 for the year.
At the same time I have been looking at some used models, I could get a 2007 Corsa 1.0i 12v Life for £3,495 which is almost half the price for a 3 year old Corsa.
